With a nationwide footprint and opportunities for growth across multiple locations and disciplines, SPL is a place where you can build a career while making a real-world impact.We're seeking a motivated Laboratory Analyst II to support our environmental laboratory located in Conroe, TX.This is an exciting opportunity for a laboratory professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys hands‑on analytical testing, laboratory instrumentation, and producing accurate, high-quality data in support of environmental compliance and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and motivated by supporting daily laboratory operations, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts within a collaborative team environment.What You'll DoPerform sample preparation and routine analysis, and QA/QC testing in accordance with EPA methods, SOPs, and regulatory standardsReview and evaluate analytical data for accuracy and compliance, reporting and escalating discrepancies as appropriateAccurately document laboratory activities and enter data into LIMS systemsPerform analytical calculations and generate technical reports to support laboratory operations and client deliverablesOperate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipmentSupport quality assurance initiatives, audits, corrective actions, and SOP revisionsMaintain laboratory organization, inventory, and compliance with safety and environmental regulationsCollaborate cross‑functionally with laboratory staff, management, and clients to meet project timelines and workload demandsProvide customer and client support, including sample intake, phone communication, and front‑desk assistance when requiredPerform additional duties as assignedRequirementsWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science field required; equivalent combination of education and relevant lab experience may be considered1-2 years of professional hands‑on analytical laboratory experienceDemonstrated experience operating, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentationProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)Work ScheduleFull‑time, onsite position following a standard Monday - Friday scheduleAbility to work outside of scheduled hours, including evenings or weekends as neededWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchCompany‑paid life, AD&D, and disability insuranceGenerous paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidaysPaid parental leave and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Tuition reimbursement and professional development supportCareer growth opportunities within a nationwide organizationOur Commitment to Diversity & InclusionAt SPL, we believe that a diverse team is a strong team.
