Job Description Job DescriptionGreat Expectations Instructional CoachPreferred Location: Northeast Houston AreaSalary: $60,000$65,000Applications Accepted for 10 DaysInterviews: May 20 May 31Start Date: July 15Great Expectations (GE) is seeking a passionate and experienced Instructional Coach to support educators and school leaders in implementing the GE philosophy and instructional practices with fidelity. This role is focused on improving instructional effectiveness, strengthening school culture, and increasing student achievement.The ideal candidate is a collaborative educational leader who is passionate about developing teachers, supporting schools, and creating meaningful learning experiences for students.Position Purpose The GE Instructional Coach serves as a mentor, facilitator, trainer, and partner to educators and administrators. Through coaching, professional learning, and collaboration, this role helps schools create engaging, high-performing learning environments aligned with Great Expectations practices.Essential ResponsibilitiesInstructional Coaching Support teachers through coaching cycles, classroom observations, modeling, and feedbackPromote research-based instructional strategies and student engagement practicesSupport implementation of the Eight Expectations for Living and Life PrinciplesUtilize instructional technology and digital learning tools to enhance teaching and learningProfessional Learning Plan and facilitate engaging professional development sessions for teachers and administratorsServe as lead contact and coordinator for Summer Institute and regional training eventsProvide ongoing follow-up support to schools and districtsAdapt coaching and support based on school and district needsCollaboration & Leadership Collaborate with the GE leadership team to strengthen services and improve outcomesSupport campus leaders with instructional improvement and school culture initiativesBuild strong, positive relationships with educators, leaders, and school communitiesRepresentation & Outreach Represent Great Expectations at conferences, workshops, and exhibitor eventsSupport outreach efforts with prospective schools and districtsCoordinate appreciation events and learning opportunities within school communitiesQualifications Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferredValid teaching certification requiredMinimum of 5 years of successful teaching experienceExperience in instructional coaching, leadership, or professional development preferredKnowledge of Great Expectations practices preferredPreferred Characteristics The ideal candidate is:Student-centered and relationship-drivenCollaborative, reflective, and growth-orientedSkilled in communication and professional facilitationAdaptable, organized, and professionalPassionate about educator development and student successImpact of the Role The GE Instructional Coach empowers educators and school leaders to create engaging and effective learning environments that lead to meaningful student growth, achievement, and long-term success.If you are passionate about supporting educators and making a positive impact in schools, we encourage you to apply today!About Ascend Staffing Ascend Staffing has been connecting great people with real opportunities for over 50 years.
