Job Title: Assembly Technician Location: Houston, TX 77095 (Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months (Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension) Pay: $25 - $29/hr (Negotiable) Job Description: Seeking an experienced mechanical assembly technician to assemble and disassemble gas turbine and compressor packages in a manufacturing environment. This role requires precision work on rotating equipment and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Must-Have Qualifications 5+ years of experience assembling rotating equipment Hands-on experience with gas turbines and/or compressors Ability to read blueprints and technical assembly instructions Experience working to tight tolerances (±0.001”) Proficient with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators) Skilled with hand tools, specialty torque/bolt-stretching tools Experience with cranes, hoists, forklifts, and rigging Key Responsibilities Assemble/disassemble turbine and compressor packages and sub-assemblies Perform alignments, inspections, measurements, and adjustments Identify issues and collaborate with engineering and quality teams Document measurements and work completed Follow all safety, quality, and EHS procedures Work Environment Industrial manufacturing setting Physical, hands-on role requiring PPE and safe material handling (YR - IND) Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $25 - $29 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
