About the Role

We are seeking a

Shipping and Receiving Specialist

to support and strengthen our on-site shipping and logistics operations. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and coordination across daily shipping activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position plays a key role in maintaining operational flow, improving execution on the floor, and supporting overall logistics performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily shipping and receiving operations across trucks and rail
  • Coordinate loading and unloading activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring correct quantity and quality
  • Maintain accurate shipping records, including returns, pallets, and shipment tracking
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation such as bills of lading
  • Support communication between operations, carriers, and internal teams
  • Track shipments and ensure alignment with customer orders and delivery timelines
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions
  • Support damage claims and documentation for in-transit issues
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and controls
  • Ensure FIFO compliance throughout production and shipping processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics operations is a plus
  • Forklift experience or certification preferred

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with inventory or ERP systems is a plus
