Follow set up procedures in the process of sanitation, making and packaging cheese and cream products in a safe manner to ensure the product meets quality spedifications set by the company to fulfill customer specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Make boxes in boxing area.
Pack cheese from plastic trays into designated boxes
Clean and sanitize equipment & production area using water, soap, chemicals, etc . . . .
Be able to pack boxes at a fast pace
Be able to work standing up entire shift
Be able to manually catch & line up cheese to be hand-wrapped
Be able to keep up with conveyor speed
Clean and sanitize all equipment used in processing, floors, walls in the finish room.
Maintain production and cleaning chart records .
Must follow all safety procedures
Must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
Must follow all Quality Assurance standards .
Keep work area clean and neat at all times
Be able to perform tasks efficiently even when space is restricted
High School diploma or GED/preferred, or 6 months equivalent experience. Ability to read, write and understand English grammar.
Basic Arithmetic such as addition, substraction, multiplication and division.
Ability to write legibly to complete paperwork.
Ability to communicate with co-workers, team leaders.
Ability to work with minimal supervison and follow written and/or verbal procedures,
working in a noisy, wet, fast pace and slippery environment.
Ability to perform repetitive motion of stacking boxes including pushing, pulling, reaching and standing for long periods of time. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
