JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide a single point of contact for all district staff to assist and resolve problems relating to computer and communications-related services. Responsible for phone support, technology problem evaluation, and distribution of technology-related work orders.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Receive phone calls and assist with end users to resolve problems and utilize software.
  2. Work cooperatively with end users to detect and resolve hardware problems such as Chromebooks, iPads, Hotspots, Desktops, etc.
  3. Collaborate with end users to gather information, replicate reported issues, provide software troubleshooting support, and escalate issues as needed.
  4. Coordinate with coworkers and users across departments to gather information and support the resolution of end-user issues related to district applications and systems.
  5. Process and triage all technology-related tickets through the district's help desk ticketing system in accordance with established procedures.
  6. Assist the Human Resources Department with new hire training activities as needed.
  7. Assist with help desk support services during district professional development conferences.
  8. Run payroll process.
  9. Print and fold District payroll checks and vouchers.
  10. Run year end payroll processes and print and fold year end forms.
  11. Process department paperwork.
  12. Process user access request forms as assigned.
  13. Create and maintain district knowledge base documentation.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of information.
  15. Maintain regular attendance.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
  • One year of work experience in technical support position
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  • High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Broad knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
  • Knowledge of various operating systems
  • Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and word processing documents
  • Ability to detect and resolve problems
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

PAY GRADE: TEC-4 - Minimum hourly rate - $25.50
