Location: Channelview, TX

Amount of Travel Required: 10%

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; overtime as necessary.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring that products manufactured within the energy sector meet the required quality standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements. This position involves conducting regular and ad-hoc inspections of incoming inspection of Manufactured products, inspecting raw materials, in-process inspection of manufactured, fabricated & assembled components (Internal and External), and finished products, assessing compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards and procedures, using various inspection techniques and equipment to guarantee the highest level of quality assurance. The inspector will collaborate closely with Manufacturing teams, engineers, and management to maintain consistency and improve quality across manufacturing processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")

  • Conducting regular and ad hoc inspections of incoming manufactured products, components & raw materials; in-process inspection of manufactured, fabricated & assembled components (Internal and External) and finished products; and assessing compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards, procedures, and drawings.
  • Collaborate in the Continual Improvements process, creating controlled Inspection forms as needed.
  • Accurately records inspection results, documents non-conformances, and generates reports to track quality issues. Ensure detailed records are maintained for traceability and compliance.
  • Ensures that all products and processes comply with industry standards, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Monitors and verifies the effectiveness of corrective actions (CARs) for non-conforming materials or processes and collaborates with teams to resolve quality issues, safety concerns & lesson learns.
  • Assiststhe Quality Manager in identifying areas for process improvement and participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product reliability.
  • Collaborate with test line team members for irregularities and begin the NCR process.
  • Ensures that inspection tools and equipment are regularly calibrated and maintained to provide accurate measurements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, and any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English language, Spanish is a plus.
  • Position requires in-person, predictable attendance.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required. Employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
  • High school diploma required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required. Either Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, and/or combined.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication, assembly, P&ID's, and electrical drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

The Quality Inspector is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
