Job Description:
As a .NET Developer, you will provide on-site programming services that support an enterprise accountability system used for payroll processing, mission tracking, and emergency operations. This role involves reviewing the current system, identifying improvements, implementing system changes, resolving programming issues, and providing ongoing support. You will collaborate closely with internal staff to enhance system functionality, develop new features, perform simulations prior to deployment, create user training materials, and ensure system stability during emergency activations. The current system operates on MVC applications and Microsoft Power Apps, requiring strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, SQL, and Power Platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review the existing accountability system and recommend performance improvements.
• Implement system updates, resolve programming issues, and provide ongoing technical support.
• Collaborate with internal staff to enhance system functionality and develop new features.
• Present system improvement and upgrade ideas and perform controlled testing prior to go-live.
• Prepare training manuals and ensure proper system documentation.
• Provide system support during emergency activations to ensure operational continuity.
• Create, deploy, and migrate Power Apps and Power Automate solutions across environments.
• Utilize Azure Repos with Git for version control including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Use Azure Boards for Agile project management, backlogs, and sprint planning.
• Troubleshoot, support, and enhance .NET applications and SQL databases.
• Review agency databases for workflow, interface efficiencies, metadata, permissions, and architecture improvements.
• Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, cursors, and joins.
• Perform data modelling and design databases aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Provide technical expertise for diagnosing issues and identifying workarounds.
• Ensure solutions meet technical and functional performance requirements.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to propose improvements for database and reporting needs.
• Recommend and develop catalogue documentation for databases, structures, ownership, and procedures.
• Travel to on-site locations as needed for meetings, training, or system support.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• 7+ years of experience writing and debugging SQL queries using tools such as SQL Developer.
• Experience with SQL Server including SSMS, Integration Services, performance tools, and profiling.
• 7+ years of experience in C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, VB.NET, and classic ASP.NET.
• Experience with Oracle (v12, 19c) and SQL Server (2012, 2016, 2019).
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools including Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• 5+ years of experience with Power Apps and Power Automate.
• 4+ years of Azure DevOps experience including Azure Repos and Azure Boards.
• Client-facing experience working with leadership stakeholders.
• 4+ years of experience in government IT environments.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet defined milestones.
• Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, object-oriented programming, data warehousing, and relational database engines.
• Strong DBA and development experience writing T-SQL scripts.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
