About the Role

We are on the lookout for a dynamic VP for our Project Management Office (PMO) who will lead the execution of advanced nuclear energy projects. This senior leadership position is crucial for overcoming barriers in advanced nuclear deployment by ensuring disciplined governance, mobilizing delivery teams, and overseeing the predictable execution of complex, multi-billion-dollar nuclear power plant projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in commercial nuclear project delivery, particularly in regulated settings. You will manage the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to project turnover, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

As our VP, PMO, you will play a key role in portfolio delivery and operational excellence. You will drive the consistent application of project management strategies and establish the operating rhythm for monitoring progress and managing risks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building comprehensive portfolio risk management practices
  • Collaborating with legal and functional leaders on contracting strategies
  • Promoting a strong culture of safety and quality in nuclear project delivery
  • Fostering team building, leadership, and accountability
  • Encouraging continuous improvement and innovation, particularly with digital tools and data-driven decision-making

The successful applicant will have a proven track record in managing large-scale capital infrastructure projects, preferably in the nuclear sector. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or business is essential, and an MS/MBA is highly preferred. You should have a solid commercial background, with experience in contracting various project elements, and an in-depth understanding of U.S. NRC regulatory requirements. Strong leadership, excellent communication abilities, and outstanding stakeholder management skills are vital for this role. Willingness to travel frequently is necessary, and relocation to project sites may also be required.
