SUMMARY
The Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our cloud and hybrid infrastructure while providing strong technical leadership, hands-on experience, and a proactive approach to managing enterprise-grade systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Azure Administration & Management
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure-based infrastructure (VMs, networking, storage, identity, monitoring).
- Manage Azure Active Directory, role-based access control (RBAC), and identity governance.
- Optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Security & Compliance
- Implement and monitor security best practices across Azure and on-prem environments.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, SOC, GDPR, HIPAA as applicable).
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
- Infrastructure Operations
- Oversee hybrid environments integrating on-premises systems with Azure cloud.
- Administer Windows Server, virtualization platforms (Hyper-V/VMware), and networking components.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
- Automation & DevOps Collaboration
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, ARM templates, or Terraform.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Drive adoption of modern cloud-native practices.
- Planning & Strategy
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Azure and infrastructure technologies.
- Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance.
- Contribute to IT strategy, capacity planning, and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration, with at least 3+ years focused on Azure.
- Strong expertise in:
- Azure IaaS/PaaS services
- Azure Active Directory & Identity Management
- Networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, routing)
- Windows Server administration
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Relevant certifications preferred:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- ITIL or other infrastructure-related certifications
