Human Resources Specialist

We are looking for a highly organized and resourceful Human Resources Specialist to join our client's team in Houston, Texas. This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing recruitment, payroll processing, employee relations, and compliance tracking with precision and efficiency. You will play a key part in fostering a positive workplace environment while ensuring adherence to HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Manage recruitment processes including sourcing candidates, conducting initial screenings, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring decisions.
• Utilize job boards, social media platforms, referrals, and other networking tools to identify and attract top talent.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding procedures to ensure smooth transitions for employees.
• Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and maintain accurate personnel records.
• Process payroll efficiently and ensure accuracy using ADP systems.
• Facilitate open enrollment for employee benefits and provide guidance throughout the process.
• Address employee relations matters by resolving conflicts and handling disciplinary actions effectively.
• Monitor compliance with HR policies and prepare necessary reports to maintain regulatory standards.
• Support the implementation and management of HRIS systems to streamline administrative tasks.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
• Strong knowledge of HR administration processes, including onboarding and benefit functions.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems to manage personnel data effectively.
• Familiarity with ADP payroll systems for accurate processing.
• Ability to coordinate recruitment activities and use advanced sourcing strategies.
• Experience in managing compliance reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to handle multiple HR functions.
• Tech-savvy with expertise in leveraging social media and networking platforms for recruitment.
