Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated, dependable Part-Time Transition to Employment / Job Skills Teacher to provide individualized and small-group job training services for teens and adults (ages 16+) with learning differences, including autism and ADHD.This position supports transition-to-employment and Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) aligned with Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) expectations. Services are delivered in schools, community settings, offices, and real-world work sites. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys practical, hands-on instruction and can work independently within a small team.ResponsibilitiesProvide transition-to-employment and job training servicesTeach job preparation and workplace social skills to students and adults with learning differencesDeliver instruction in individual and small-group formatsDifferentiate instruction based on individual strengths, needs, and learning stylesImplement effective behavior and classroom management strategiesSupport students in community-based and worksite learning experiencesWork across multiple environments (schools, office settings, community worksites, etc.)Collect basic data, track participation, and document progress as required for program reportingCommunicate professionally with team members, families, school staff, and partner agenciesMaintain consistent attendance and reliabilityRequired QualificationsApplicants must be have a current Special Education Teaching Certification.Preference will be given to someone who is workforce professional certified as an Employment Specialist with Autism Certification through UNT-Wise.Preferred ExperienceExperience working with Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) programs, Pre-ETS, Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), or workforce-funded servicesFamiliarity with Pre-ETS documentation, service delivery, or compliance expectationsExperience supporting students with disabilities ages 16 and older in transition or employment-focused programmingSkills & CompetenciesStrong ability to teach employment skills to teens and adults with learning differences such as Autism, ADHD, social anxiety, etc. Strong understanding of behavior support and classroom managementAbility to differentiate instruction for diverse learnersComfortable working independently with minimal supervisionOrganized, dependable, and self-directedStrong communication and professional judgmentWillingness to travel between service locationsSchedule & Work EnvironmentPart-time, hourly position (may be variable in the beginning)Flexible scheduling requiredAvailability for some evenings and Saturdays requiredWork occurs across a variety of settings, including schools, offices, and community job sitesWhy Join UsMission-driven work supporting meaningful employment outcomesFlexible scheduleSmall, collaborative team environmentOpportunity to directly impact transition and workforce readiness for individuals with learning differences
