Transportation, Marketing and Purchasing Crude Oil company seeking a Controller for their West Houston Energy Corridor corporate office. This is a newly created position as the team is growing and needs someone to lead them further as well as handle more financial reporting and analysis that is needed as the mid-size company is growing!

Summary - About the role:

• Responsible for financial reporting and analysis of corporate financials; management reports, cash flow analysis, treasury oversight and other financial areas
• Supervise and mentor staff in settlements, royalties, division order, contracts, etc.
• Assist in providing a culturally pleasant and professional working environment for the teams
• Oversight of areas of operational accounting, general ledger, a/r, cash, contracts, settlements, etc.
• Will be involved in testing, implementing and using new accounting system
• Other reporting and analysis as needed

About the candidate we are seeking:

• 5+ years experience in GAAP financial reporting and accounting and analysis in midstream sector
• Proven management and mentoring skillset in a positive uplifting environment
• Strong excel and general accounting/software system skills; previous system implementation experience preferred
• Top communication skills; written and verbal
