Detailed Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Technician to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is an onsite position within our Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal team members.

  • Perform on-site hardware failure support for Netsync Network Support service contracts.

  • Install, configure, and support network appliances.

  • Support customer, vendor, and cross-department relationships related to network support activities.

  • Manage, update, and document support cases in customer, Netsync, and OEM systems.

  • Collaborate with the team to maintain appropriate availability for 24x7 network support coverage.

Additional Duties:

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to streamline and automate processes.

  • Assist Netsync's Network Operations Center (NOC) with network support cases as needed.

  • Pursue ongoing technical education and skill development in the networking field.

  • Support end user compute repairs when required.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of IT experience.

  • Foundational understanding of networking and security concepts, including routing, switching, and TCP/IP protocols.

  • Ability to routinely lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

  • Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Curiosity and a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Minimum Qualifications/Technical and Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • CCNA certification or equivalent vendor certification (Network+, JNCIA, ACSA).

  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
