THE ROLE

At its core, this role is about being the voice of Do713the person who defines how Houston experiences whats happening in the city. You are the connective tissue between the local scene and our audience, translating concerts, events, food, culture, and moments into content that feels timely, trusted, and unmistakably Houston.

Youll bring that voice to life across multiple touchpoints, with the daily email newsletter serving as a key (but not the only) way we connect with our audience. Whether its highlighting cant-miss events, shaping how experiences are presented on our site, or collaborating with partners and contributors, youll take ownership of how Do713 shows up day to day.

Youll be responsible for ensuring our website is the best possible representation of Houstonkeeping event listings fresh, curating must-attend experiences, maintaining accurate venue and artist pages, and working with a network of contributors to strengthen and expand our content coverage.

Beyond content, youll cultivate relationships with local venues, promoters, and brands, securing ticket giveaways, partnerships, and exclusive experiences that add real value for our audience. Youll also help amplify our presence across social channels, using them to extend reach, spark engagement, and reinforce our editorial voice.

Youll engage directly with usersanswering questions, responding to feedback, and ensuring a seamless experience across our platformswhile continually thinking about how to better serve and grow our community.

This is a full-time position based in Houston, ideal for someone who is deeply connected to their local scene, passionate about audience engagement, and excited to shape how a city experiences its culture.
