New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Inspector Specialist for a manufacturing client located in East Houston, TX. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Pay: $19-$20/hour
Schedule: Day Shift, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Inspector Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and damage-free shipments through visual inspections, packaging, and coordination with the shipping team. This role supports inventory control, dock organization, and equipment testing while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities
• Identify products using work order numbers and Certificates of Conformance (COC)
• Perform visual inspections to detect damages or discrepancies before packaging
• Verify product descriptions and quantities; package items for shipment
• Operate forklifts and wrap machines
• Maintain a clean and organized dock area and power tools
• Track and maintain inventory of dock materials
• Collaborate with the shipping clerk to gather weight and dimension data
• Load completed products onto customer-provided trucks (includes pallets and pipe under 20ft)
• Cut and preassemble chocks for pallets
• Be available for on-call responsibilities
• Perform inspections and test equipment per designated work instructions
