Construction Superintendent

A leading Texas-based general contractor with over 50 years of experience delivering high-quality commercial construction projects across sectors including corporate, education, healthcare, industrial, and public facilities. We are seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial ground-up construction projects. This individual will lead on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and uphold safety and quality standards from preconstruction through project completion.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities and personnel
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to maintain schedules and quality expectations
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols (OSHA and company standards)
  • Track daily progress, manage schedules, and report to the Project Manager
  • Interpret and implement construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Conduct regular site meetings and inspections to review progress and resolve issues
  • Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers
  • Qualifications:

    • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
    • Proven ability to manage ground-up projects and complex construction schedules
    • In-depth knowledge of building systems, codes, safety standards, and construction methods
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • OSHA 30 certification preferred
    • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) is a plus
