Network Engineer

Description:

The Texas Stock Exchange is hiring a Sr Network Engineer in our Dallas, Texas location. We're looking for an experienced engineer that has worked in the trading/exchange space. The ideal candidate has experience supporting/building network infrastructure solutions in low latency environments and has previous start up experience.

Required Experience

    • Network automation experience, ideally with one or more of the following: Gluware, Ansible, Netbox/Nautobot, Python
    • Problem-solving expertise in complex, distributed network environments
    • Network design experience (device selection, BOM building, redundancy, etc.)
    • Datacenter work experience (rack and stack, powering and cabling devices, etc.)
    • Low latency experience (in some aspect whether that be on the Exchange side vs HFT side, or comparable environments
Required Technologies
    • Unicast
    • Multicast
    • BGP
    • Market Data and Extranets
    • Strong understanding of multi-cloud architectures (Azure + AWS) -Preference for Azure.
    • Managing hybrid infrastructure connectivity
    • Continuous packet capture (Corvil, P2D) and analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump)
Desired Technologies
    • Segment Routing
    • MPLS
    • Palo Alto firewall experience
    • Terraform
    • CI/CD
    • Precision Time Protocol
    • ZTNA - Zscaler, Netskope, Cloudflare, etc.
Non Negotiables
    • Can't be argumentative
    • Must be willing to work out of the Dallas data center and the Dallas office when needed.
    • Team player
    • Can handle context switching
    • Thrives in a fast-moving, mission-critical financial environment
Projects You'll work on in the first year
    • Building network automation stack
    • Implement ZTNA architecture
    • Work with security group for hardening network infrastructure (NIST, CIS)
