About the Role:

The Human Resource Generalist II plays a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the overall HR function within the organization. This position is responsible for managing a broad range of HR activities including employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, and compliance with labor laws. The role requires partnering with management and employees to address HR-related issues, ensuring a positive and productive work environment. The Human Resource Generalist II will also contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and programs that align with organizational goals. Ultimately, this position aims to foster employee engagement and support organizational growth through effective human resource management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in human resources or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices applicable in the United States.
  • Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a mid to large-sized organization with diverse employee populations.
  • Familiarity with talent acquisition strategies and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with HR analytics and reporting tools.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations including employee onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining employee records.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening candidates, and facilitating interviews.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support performance management processes including performance reviews and employee development plans.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues by conducting investigations and recommending solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and implement HR initiatives and programs.
  • Maintain HR metrics and prepare reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

Skills:

The required skills enable the Human Resource Generalist II to efficiently manage daily HR operations, ensuring compliance and supporting employee needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for resolving employee relations issues and providing clear guidance to management and staff.
