Description:

We're seeking a reliable denials manager to join a healthcare focused law firm in the Houston area. You will be analyzing health care insurance/litigation patient account files to identify trends and primary denial reasons to assist in litigation. You will be responsible for coordinating NSA/SB process and program expectations.

Schedule: On-site M-F 8-5

Location: Houston, TX

Key Responsibilities

  • Keeps track of SB/NSA inventory and reporting back to clients using advanced Excel skills.
  • Monitors and Maintains HIPAA compliance and PHI protection needs for both the Firm and Clients.
  • Assesses the need to group Out of Network carrier claims to be handled in a group rather than individually.
  • Communicates all issues (system, compliance, payor, behavior, workflow, or any other insurance collection opportunities) to management immediately.
  • Must have above-average analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Must have the ability to problem-solve, prioritize duties, and follow through completely with assigned tasks.
  • Manages & Facilitates the development of new process for Denial specialist.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3-5 years of related experience in healthcare denials
  • 2 years of leadership/management/supervisor level
  • Hospital billing experience
  • 1-3 years of NSA experience
