The ideal candidate should have a strong background in machine learning, with expertise in both supervised and unsupervised methodologies. A solid understanding of traditional machine learning techniques such as decision trees and SVNs, as well as deep learning approaches, is highly preferred.
A key advantage would be the ability to optimize machine learning models for efficient deployment on edge devices, ensuring performance and scalability in real-world environments. Additionally, experience in data transformation and preprocessing is desirable, particularly the ability to structure and adapt data for seamless integration with machine learning models.
This role offers work on cutting-edge AI solutions that drive innovation in computer vision, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics within the retail security landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement real-time object detection, tracking, and classification solutions using machine learning and computer vision techniques.
- Optimize models for real-time processing on various platforms, including edge devices, cloud-based systems, and embedded hardware, ensuring low-latency performance.
- Develop and manage end-to-end machine learning pipelines to automate and optimize data curation, preprocessing, and model training workflows.
- Implement automation tools and monitoring frameworks to track model performance, detect anomalies, and streamline updates.
- Design, develop, and deploy unsupervised machine learning models to identify anomalies and irregular patterns in system operations, data streams, or user behavior.
- Design and implement models to detect, diagnose, and resolve system issues.
Education and/or Experience: - Master's degree (preferred) in CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
- 3 years of building models for edge deployment for camera-based object detection and classification.
- 3 years of programming in Python (preferred) or C/C++.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience working with MobileNetV2 and YOLOv8 models.
- Experience with embedded Linux software development, Yocto experience a plus.
- Linux platforms: V4L2 camera API, gstreamer.
- General understanding of camera hardware and video formats.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud-based AI workflows.
