Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Chassis Painter III to join our team. The Chassis Painter III at Frazer reports to the Paint Shop Manager, and is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing chassis to meet Frazer's quality, safety, and production standards in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What Does a Week in the Life of the Chassis Painter III Look Like?

  1. Safely remove exterior and interior components (trim, doors, panels, hardware, lighting, accessories) from chassis or vehicles prior to paint
  2. Tag, label, and store removed components to ensure accurate reinstallation
  3. Protect sensitive components, wiring, and surfaces during teardown
  4. Support surface preparation activities as needed (masking, sanding, cleaning)
  5. Reinstall removed components according to specifications and work instructions
  6. Ensure proper alignment, fit, torque, and function of all reinstalled parts
  7. Identify and report paint defects, damage, or fitment issues prior to final assembly
  8. Verify all fasteners, seals, and hardware are properly installed
  9. Follow standard work instructions, paint prep checklists, and reassembly procedures
  10. Perform self-inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards
  11. Document completed work and report defects or concerns through the appropriate system
  12. Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rework and paint-related defects
  13. Adhere to all safety policies, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations
  14. Maintain a clean, organized work area before and after tasks
  15. Properly handle tools, chemicals, and materials used in paint prep and reassembly
Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
  • 1-2 years of experience in the automotive paint industry or a combination of education and experience
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Experience working in a team-based production setting

Oh, and $alary
Of course, we didn't forget the salary... Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $30.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on education, certifications, and experience.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time, onsite role working Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on production needs.
