We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Patient Access Manager to join our Otolaryngology (ENT) practice and oversee all front-end patient access operations. This role is responsible for leading scheduling, registration, and patient communication functions to ensure timely access to care while delivering an exceptional patient experience across our ENT clinics.
The Patient Access Manager will supervise the scheduling and patient access team, ensuring efficient appointment coordination for ENT services including clinic visits, audiology, allergy testing and injections, vestibular testing, procedures, and surgical consults. This position plays a key role in optimizing provider schedules, managing referral workflows, and supporting high-volume, specialty scheduling needs.
Key responsibilities include overseeing daily scheduling operations, monitoring appointment availability and utilization, training and coaching patient access staff, and ensuring accurate patient registration and insurance verification. The manager will also handle escalated patient concerns, coordinate with clinical leaders and providers, and ensure compliance with ENT-specific scheduling protocols and access standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and experience working in an ENT or specialty clinic environment. Familiarity with electronic medical records, specialty scheduling workflows, prior authorizations, and referral management is highly preferred. A professional, approachable demeanor and commitment to patient-centered care are essential.
