Job Description
We are ramping up for a large project for a client. We will need a team of strong Millwrights, please do not call as we do not have a confirmed start date yet we are reaching out to prepare for future jobs we have coming. We will call once we have a date to start.

This will be for Reciprocating Compressors, Rotating Equipment and Turbines at Refineries, Chemical Plants and other sites.

Duties consist of:

  • Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts
  • Align machines and equipment, using jacks, hand tools, hoist, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs
  • Test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation
  • Repair and lubricate machines and equipment
  • Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools
  • Using blueprints and schematic drawings, to determine work procedures
  • Measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts
  • Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
  • Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit, using hand tools and power tools
  • Assemble machines, and bolt, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools
  • Lay out mounting holes, using measuring instruments, and drill holes with power drill
  • Bolt parts, such as side and deck plates, jaw plates, and journals, to basic assembly unit
  • Level bedplate and establish centerline, using straightedge, levels, and transit
  • Dismantle machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools
  • Dismantle machinery and equipment for shipment to installation site, usually performing installation and maintenance work as part of team
  • Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power)
  • Demonstrate mechanical knowledge
  • Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair equipment
  • Perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trade workers
  • Perform duties in a work environment that will be hot, cold, dirty and fast-paced
  • Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed
  • Above all remain professional at all times


Requirements

Required:

Must have TWIC Card, OSHA 10, Basic Plus and active status in DISA.
