New Tech GLobal is looking for a Welder for a client in Northwest Houston, Texas.

ESSENTIAL

• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together in accordance with Engineering drawings or schematics.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using FCAW, GMAW and GTAW processes.
• Perform welding in accordance with Engineering approved welding procedures.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
• Handle both ferrous and non ferrous materials.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Preferred five (5) years experience fitting and welding with FCAW and GMAW processes on carbon and stainless steels.
• Minimum two (2) years experience fitting and welding with GTAW process on carbon and stainless steels.
• Must be able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.6 welder performance qualifications in all positions on plate and pipe.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft 365 or similar software.

Interview:
Will need to pass the above 2 tests during the interview to be considered certified
Bring to the interview welding hood, steel toed boots, safety glasses if prescription, own equipment

DESIRED

• Previous welder performance qualifications to AWS D1.1, AWS D1.6, or other indstry welding codes.
• Experience with alloy steel welding (e.g. 4130).
• Experience with aluminum welding using GTAW process.
• Familiarity with subsea hardware and structures.
