Plan and execute site installation activities for Reciprocating Compression equipment.
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) in investigating and resolving customer-reported technical problems with equipment.
Provide recommendations to customers to remediate operational or service difficulties and offer preventative maintenance procedures as requested.
Diagnose and correct engine or compressor problems using accepted standard troubleshooting processes.
Perform equipment testing in the field and supervise minor repairs, major repairs, or corrective maintenance on customer equipment.
Conduct daily safety training, supervise the completion of safety checks, and report any safety concerns promptly.
Monitor key operating variables and process data to ensure engine and compressor units operate within design parameters.
Attend operations meetings on-site with client personnel to proactively identify issues and lead resolution efforts.
Lead construction activities to ensure adherence to process designs for operational and safety purposes, suggesting improvements based on field experience.
Establish and cultivate working relationships with key customer contacts, including operators, engineering, and maintenance personnel, to manage long-term and short-term issues proactively.
Lead safety and environmental reviews, including participation in process hazard reviews.
Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts with customers, correcting or repairing equipment as necessary.
Lead turn-around activities for customers, including identification and justification of maintenance processes, procedure writing, equipment inspection, etc.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Reciprocating Compression.
Meets all sublevel (FS Technician I & II) requirements.
Clear, concise, and accurate service reporting is required.
Education - Complete training for the following:
Associates Degree with a technical concentration (Bachelor's Degree preferred) or equivalent work experience.
Formal training in a technical certificate program.
Technical training in the oil and gas industry or associated industry.
Mastery of core competencies including advanced special tooling, engine & compressor theory, product knowledge, etc.
Advanced proficiency in computer skills, including Word & Excel.
Mastery of product documentation, including blueprints, drawings, schematics, BOM, etc.
Advanced leadership skills.
