Key Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled pet restraint and assist in triage for incoming patients.
• Collect and analyze lab samples while performing diagnostic imaging.
• Manage and provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases with varying stability.
• Administer medications accurately and communicate treatment plans effectively with clients.
• Prepare for and assist in surgical procedures, including anesthetic management.

Candidates must be prepared to deal with various odors and noises, along with the possibility of bites, scratches, animal waste, and exposure to contagious diseases.

Qualifications:

We seek candidates who are:

• Experienced Veterinary Assistants with a minimum of 1 year of preferred experience.
• Compassionate team players who demonstrate calmness under pressure and are strong communicators.
• Able to properly restrain pets, with proficiency in sample collection and obtaining medical histories.
• Skilled in processing laboratory tests, radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring, which is considered a bonus!
• Self-starters eager to enhance their knowledge and skill set.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position, which includes the necessity to work rotating half-day Saturdays.
