Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk plays a key role in supporting the accounting department through accurate financial recordkeeping, data entry, and administrative assistance. This position ensures compliance with company policies and contributes to smooth and efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable/receivable, reconcile bank statements, and assist in financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal staff to resolve billing and payment inquiries.
  • Support compliance efforts and assist with audits and internal reviews.
  • Provide general administrative and project support to the accounting team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • 13 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based position using standard office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs and potential overtime during month-end or year-end close.
