Quality Assurance Representative (QAR)

Yulista Solutions, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) to support aircraft maintenance operations under the NASA CHARLES contract at Ellington Field in Houston, TX. The QAR will ensure compliance with applicable technical data, maintenance procedures, and regulatory standards through audits, inspections, and documentation reviews. This role is critical to maintaining the safety, airworthiness, and mission readiness of NASA's aircraft fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct over-the-shoulder audits, process audits, desk audits, and spot inspections to verify compliance with technical orders, maintenance procedures, and contract requirements.
  • Perform technical order research and validation to ensure the use of current and applicable maintenance documentation.
  • Conduct desk audits by reviewing maintenance databases to ensure documentation compliance and accuracy.
  • Identify discrepancies and non-conformances, initiate corrective actions, and track resolution to closure.
  • Maintain detailed records of audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities in accordance with contract and NASA standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineering personnel, and NASA representatives to support continuous improvement and mission success.
  • Ensure compliance with NASA, DoD, and OEM standards, as well as internal Yulista quality procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance or quality assurance in a military, government, or aerospace environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of technical orders, maintenance manuals, and aerospace quality standards.
  • Experience conducting audits and inspections in accordance with NASA, DoD, or Aerospace Standards (AS-9110) guidelines.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance tracking systems and audit documentation tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearance or NASA badging.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification or military equivalent.
  • Prior experience supporting NASA contracts.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems.
  • Experience with NASA technical documentation and quality assurance protocols.
