About the Role

At Bray, Buyers play a critical role in keeping operations running efficiently. In this position, you'll collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure materials and services are available to meet production schedules and customer commitments. What You'll Do

• Process purchase orders and requisitions for stock replenishment and special-order requirements.
• Manage and monitor open purchase orders to ensure timely supplier delivery.
• Expedite and follow up on open purchase orders to maximize inventory availability.
• Evaluate and manage vendor performance using established supplier evaluation tools.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support efficient supply chain operations.
• Identify, implement, and maintain cost-saving initiatives.
• Uphold company standards for integrity, compliance, and ethical purchasing practices.
• Meet or exceed established performance metrics.
• Schedule, plan, expedite, and revise sales orders as needed.
• Coordinate deliveries, manage change orders, and provide order status updates to sales teams.
• Review slow-moving and excess inventory and recommend substitution or reconfiguration strategies.
• Develop product knowledge and advance purchasing concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal audits, and quality management systems.
• Gain exposure to manufacturing or high-volume industrial distribution environments.
What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of experience in purchasing, buying, or materials management (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP system experience preferred.

Work Schedule & Environment

• Full-time, Monday-Friday (typically 8:00 AM-5:00 PM)
• Occasional overtime as needed
• Office-based role with regular interaction on the production floor
