The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Senior Customer Success Manager to reinforce our expanding field services team. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping customers derive maximum value from our cybersecurity offerings, focusing on renewals and additional transactions. This position involves engaging with top-level executives and technical staff in fast-paced environments. Ideal candidates should possess exceptional communication skills and a strong background in cybersecurity.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Act as a trusted advisor throughout the customer's journey with Proofpoint, facilitating valuable engagement to enhance their experience.
  • Develop and maintain tailored Customer Success Plans (CSP) that align with your customers' strategic goals, securing approval from key decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular health check meetings with customers to review product usage and provide actionable guidance for maximizing value from our products.
  • Serve as a passionate advocate for customers to ensure successful deployments, gathering feedback to identify trends and relay that information to product management.
  • Identify at-risk customers and lead collaborative cross-functional initiatives to realign them with their goals.
  • Engage with teams across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Support, and Professional Services to address root causes of customer dissatisfaction.
  • Document customer environments to guarantee success with existing solutions and identify new opportunities to resolve their challenges.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in customer success, sales engineering, or similar customer-facing roles, with exposure to various technology areas.
  • A strong understanding of customer success principles and their application in real-world scenarios.
  • Familiarity with Proofpoint products or comparable cybersecurity solutions, along with a strong desire to learn.
  • The ability to communicate customer business requirements effectively, anticipating needs based on common experiences.
  • High engagement levels with both customers and colleagues, professionally managing interactions to achieve positive results for all parties involved.
  • A demonstrated ability to influence others in critical situations, driving impactful outcomes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data communication concepts, especially concerning email, networking, and enterprise security.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity solutions and productivity tools.
  • A proven track record of leading initiatives both autonomously and within a team environment, improving processes as necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor suitable for interacting with senior leadership.
  • Evidence of high-quality documentation, including executive communications and white papers.
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • An innovative and strategic thinker with proven success in executing tactical initiatives.
  • The ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to travel 25% or more as needed.
