Department: Deans Office - Arts Salary: 19.71Description:Provides support for one or more LANS typically under the direction of a network or system manager. Provides hardware diagnosis, software support, workstation installation, and network backup.1. Provides mainframe and micro-computer software support to users.2. Monitors system usage; may provide and audit system reports.3. Diagnoses system problems; may replace system components as required.4. Backs up file server and restores data from tapes.5. Installs software upgrades.6. Installs and configures new workstations as required.7. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Education will be considered in lieu of experience.MQ: Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED.
