Payroll Specialist

Overview of the Payroll Specialist:

• Process multi-state, full-cycle payroll accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Manage payroll tax filings, garnishments, benefits deductions, and year-end reporting (W-2s).
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity within the payroll system.
• Partner with HR, Accounting, and internal stakeholders to address payroll-related questions.
• Support audits and provide payroll reports as needed.

Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is strongly required
• 3+ years of full-cycle payroll experience
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax compliance, and multi-state payroll processing
• Experience working with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms
• MS Excel – Intermediate
• Strong attention to detail and organized
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
• Great communication and follow-through
