New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a CNC Programmer with live tooling experience for a client located in Houston, TX to join our team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Summary:
Responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Haas CNC machines to produce precision components. This role also includes learning and supporting the operation of a newly installed robotic system. The ideal candidate will ensure high quality production, maintain equipment standards, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and modern manufacturing environment within a brand new facility.
Responsibilities
• Program, set up, and operate Haas CNC machines according to production specifications.
• Create, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC programs to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Perform machine setup, tooling changes, and routine maintenance.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Work alongside engineering and production teams to improve machining processes.
• Learn and assist in the operation of the new robotic system once installed.
• Maintain detailed production documentation and job records.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Monitor machines for irregularities and take corrective action when needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
• Support production goals by managing workflow efficiently and minimizing downtime.
• Suggest improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
• Experience programming and operating Haas CNC machines required.
• Strong understanding of G-code and machining fundamentals.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, including robotics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety focused.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as needed.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
