Job Position: CNC Machinist

Location: Houston, TX 77051

Pay Rate: $22.00-24.00/hr

Shift: Days APP

Description: CNC Mill Machinist
The CNC Mill Machinist will manage computer numeric controlled (CNC) equipment from
setup to operation, producing parts and tools from different resources. The Operator will be
tasked with monitoring machinery, inspecting finished products and leading test runs.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in machining and Haas control
2+ years of experience CNC programming, set up and operation
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
Able to do basic mill set ups
Understand basic Fanuc controls
Capable of interpreting blueprints
Able to understand geometric signs and tolerances
Capable of reading and using measuring instruments
Basic math skills for calculation related to dimensions, feeds, speeds and tolerances

RESPONSABILITIES
Set up, operate and troubleshoot CNC Haas vertical milling machine
Develop and modify CNC programs
Validate machine programs and work instructions before machining to assure accuracy
of operations under minimal supervision
Detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine control as
required
Proof programs without assistance
Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, bore gauges and thread
gauges
Perform routine machine maintenance
Work as a team player with others
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent qualification required
2 years' experience as a Machinist or job-related education
Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings
Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude
Strong comprehension and analytical abilities
Good computer and mathematical skills.
Will assist in other jobs in the shop and warehouse as needed to assist co-workers.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining techniques for
metals
Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time
