ROLE
SUMMARY
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for system development and design projects involving high-pressure mechanical apparatus and components. Work includes designing, modifying, and evaluating equipment, conducting performance analyses and experimental testing. Expected to operate with minimal supervision on technical tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and engineers to develop functional high-pressure system designs that meet customer requirements.
- Review, evaluate, and integrate customer specifications into product development.
- Design mechanical test setups and validation protocols for high-pressure equipment.
- Facilitate cross-functional engineering teams to optimize product designs for safety, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and manufacturability.
- Generate engineering documentation to support fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
- Perform detailed technical calculations to validate design soundness and functionality.
- Engage with vendors to procure components, analyze supplier data, and ensure component compatibility.
- Assist in drafting testing specifications, operation, and service manuals.
- Provide technical service support in the field during equipment installation and perform in-house testing as needed.
- Travel to customer sites to gather data and support machine installations or troubleshooting.

TRAVEL: As assigned <1 week per month on average.

QUALIFICATIONS:EXPERIENCE/SKILLS- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles including hydraulics, pneumatics, high-pressure seals, pumps, and mechanical controls.
- Proficiency with solid modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and FEA tools for stress, thermal, and vibration analysis.
- High analytical capability to resolve complex problems efficiently, using technical calculations and simulation.
- Excellent oral and written communication, with experience presenting technical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently with strong initiative, while also functioning effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Innovative, self-motivated, and capable of driving continuous improvement.
- Experience designing and testing mechanical systems intended for high-pressure applications or fluid power systems is strongly preferred.
EDUCATION:- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
