In this role, you will support the daily operations of our Aftermarket Parts Service department. This includes material handling, shipping logistics, problem solving, data entry, et al./ppstrongWhat you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)/strong/ppWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, depending on the incumbent is performing, you may be required to:/pulliRead and understand documentation related to the picking, packing, and shipping of outgoing orders and the unpacking and stocking of inbound materials./liliInbound and outbound material handling (shipping/receiving), using tools and equipment such as impact guns, utility knife, tape gun, staple gun, nail gun, and any other required tools/equipment safely and effectively./liliUnderstanding requirements for all shipment types to meet guidelines for safety, importing/exporting requirements, and fulfillment accuracy./liliLoad and unload delivery vehicles such as flatbed trucks, pickup trucks, and dry vans safely using equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and any other required tools/equipment to ensure safety, efficiency and accuracy./liliFollowing standard operating procedures related to material defects/claims to confirm all stocked items are delivered to specification and quality standards./liliUse computer-based applications such as SAP, Microsoft Office, FedEx Ship Manager and UPS Worldship./liliComplete tasks to support on-time shipments and other logistical needs, including physical inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy./liliCollaborate with other business units to facilitate order fulfillment by communicating via phone, email, and messaging services./liliOther tasks as assigned./li/ulpstrongWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)/strong/ppWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:/ppstrongRequired Experience/strong/pulli1+ years experience in a warehousing environment or in shipping receiving functions./lili1+ years experience in data entry, including Microsoft Office suite./li/ulpstrongPreferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities/strong/pulliAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment/liliAbility to identify correct materials and use references if necessary to ensure accuracy./liliAbility to use precision hand tools./liliAbility to keep a clean and safe work area./liliAbility to work extended shifts and overtime./liliForklift operation experience/certification preferred./li/ulpstrongEducation Certifications/strong/pulliHigh school diploma or GED/li/ulpstrongTravel Working Environment/strong/pulliOnsite Local travel may be necessary./liliThe employee will be required to stand and walk for at least 8 hours./liliRegularly be required to push/pull material with the assistance of heavy equipment./liliClimb stairs, reach and bend regularly./liliOccasionally sit, grasp, climb, crawl, twist, and work at heights./liliOccasionally lift, hold and/or move up to 40 pounds./liliPerform repetitive motions./liliRequires use of Personal Protective Equipment, such as foot, eye, and ear protection when in production locations./liliPotential exposure to bad weather, excessive heat, and/or excessive noise/li/ulpstrongHow we live our culture/strong/ppOur culture is at the center of what we do and, more importantly, who we are.
