The Account Adjustment Specialist I is responsible for providing administrative and customer service support for deposit operations bookkeeping functions with a primary focus on researching and processing corrections to customer accounts./ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliAnswers high volume of phone calls and email requests from customers, branches and other financial institutions./liliInvestigate and resolve a variety of adjustment errors such as check encoding errors, double posted checks or deposits, savings bond discrepancies, return item late claims, missing deposits, general posting errors, etc./liliProcesses debit and credit transactions necessary for corrections and adjustments, including entries to customer accounts and internal general ledger accounts./liliEnsure that all cases are resolved and comply with industry regulations and bank procedures./liliContinuously works towards becoming cross trained on all department tasks./li/ulpCompetencies Required:/pulliProficiency with 10 key by touch and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Access), and the ability to quickly learn and navigate banking software applications and systems./liliExcellent organizational and data entry skills, with the ability to multi-task, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume environment./liliGood written and verbal communications skills./liliCustomer service orientation with effective problem solving abilities and strong analytical skills./liliSelf-starter possessing the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment./liliAbility to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines./liliAbility to work flexible hours; demonstrated good attendance and punctuality./liliStrong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications/Experience:/pulli1-3 years banking or financial services operations experience./liliBookkeeping or deposit operations experience preferred./li/ulpFormal Education Certification:/pulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent required./li/ulpWork Status:/pulliFull-Time/li/ulpSupervisory Responsibility:/pulliNone./li/ulpTravel:/pulli0% - Negligible amount of travel expected./li/ulpWorking Conditions:/pulliConditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc./li/ulpDisclaimer: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
