divh2Yard Crewmember/h2pTime Type: Part Time/ppStarting Pay: $16 / HR/ppJob Location: 1000 Frontage Street South, Cleveland, TX 77327/ph3Job Summary:/h3pThe Yard Crewmember will assist customers in the lumberyard, operate a forklift, stock products, and provide general store support./ph3Duties/Responsibilities:/h3ulliGreets customers as they enter the yard./liliLoads and unloads products into customers, vendors, and company vehicles safely and accurately./liliResponds to customers questions regarding products./liliInforms store management or supervisor of any customer complaints or requests in a timely manner./liliMoves, stocks, and rearranges building materials in the yard, warehouse, and interior of store./liliPerforms routine safety checks on forklifts according to company guidelines./liliMaintains the cleanliness and appearance of the lumberyard and warehouses, by stacking products squarely and picking up bands, chocks, and trash./liliVerifies customer or vendor ticket matches the merchandise that is being loaded./liliCovers exposed materials, when required, to prevent weather damage./liliCuts lumber and other related materials as requested by the customer./liliOperates a forklift./liliAttends all store meetings and training sessions./liliPerforms other related duties as assigned./li/ulh3Required Skills/Abilities:/h3ulliAbility to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision./liliAble to remain professional and courteous at all times./liliKnowledge of weight distribution and loading patterns./liliThe ability to adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions./liliMust successfully complete all company training and certification requirements regarding equipment usage, including obtaining McCoys forklift certification./li/ulh3Education and Experience:/h3ulliA high school diploma or equivalent is preferred./liliForklift operator certification./liliSuccessful completion of on-the-job training; completing levels 1 and 2 of the positional training offered./li/ulh3Physical Requirements:/h3ulliProlonged periods of standing and moving around the yard and warehouse./liliMust be able to use the three point hold when getting into trucks and/or forklifts./liliMust be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times, occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds, and push and/or pull 50 pound loads at a time./liliThe ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods./liliMay need to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays./liliMust be able to work in various types of weather./li/ulpMcCoys is an equal opportunity employer.
