Sebesta Poelma, LLLP is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate with a minimum of 3 years of practice to join our Houston office. This role emphasizes commercial / business and construction litigation, with responsibilities spanning case inception, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial support. Experience in insurance subrogation is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities: Research, analyze, and draft briefs on complex litigation matters, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment, motions to compel in both state and federal courts Draft and file pleadings Prepare discovery materials, legal briefs, and supporting research Represent clients in hearings Fact witness depositions Ability to work in a collaborative team environment Additional Details: Annual billing requirement: 1,800 hours Qualifications: J.D. from accredited law school Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in Texas and meet and maintain licensing requirements including mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements where applicable Exceptional research and writing skills Ability to manage a demanding workload with significant responsibility Strong commitment to client service and effective case management Benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with up to 4% employer matching Cell phone allowance Paid time off Payment of Texas State Bar Membership and CLE fees Remote working (Hybrid) option available after 60 days Yearly bonus based on performance Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $125,000 - $175,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: Yes
