Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Captain to ensure the safe and efficient execution of vessel assignments and the safety of the assigned vessel(s), cargo, and crew. The ideal candidate will possess a strong leadership background, excellent communication skills, and a valid captain's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient navigation of the vessel, including maneuvering during voyages, arrivals, and departures
• Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations, company policies, procedures, and safety practices
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance requirements for tug and barge
• Direct crew members in performance and recordkeeping of regular safety meetings and drills
• Manage inventory and prepare material requisitions for purchasing of necessary parts and supplies for the vessel
• Coordinate assist tugs and pilots, and ensure adherence to port/terminal requirements
• Direct and supervise crew members in the performance of their duties and assigned work projects
