• Hybrid role in downtown San Diego with a consistent 3 days in-office and 2 days remote schedule

Job Description

• Draft, format, and finalize pleadings, discovery, motions, subpoenas, and litigation correspondence
• Handle state and federal e-filing independently without third-party filing services
• Maintain attorney calendars and manage critical litigation deadlines
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
• Support multiple attorneys with varying work styles and priorities
• Assist with preparation for mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings
• Provide high-level administrative support on complex business and commercial litigation matters

Qualifications

• 7+ years of legal assistant or legal secretary experience in business or commercial litigation
• Strong working knowledge of state and federal court procedures and filing requirements
• Experience supporting high-volume, complex civil litigation practices
• Bankruptcy litigation experience is a plus but not required
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive in fast-paced environments
• Comfortable supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously
