Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Welding Inspector in Houston, TX to perform quality inspection of welding operations on industrial construction projects.

Impact

• Ensure weld quality and code compliance

• Prevent costly repairs through proactive inspection

• Support project schedules through timely approvals

• Build quality culture through education and standards

Responsibilities

• Inspect welding procedures and welder qualifications

• Perform visual inspection of completed welds

• Coordinate non-destructive testing (RT, UT, MT, PT)

• Review welding documentation and test reports

• Identify and document weld defects and non-conformances

• Coordinate with contractors on repair procedures

• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation

• Support project teams on welding requirements

Requirements
Must-Haves

• 5+ years of welding inspection experience

• AWS CWI certification (current)

• Strong knowledge of ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1

• Experience with industrial piping and pressure vessels

• Excellent documentation and communication skills

Nice-to-Haves

• AWS SCWI or Senior CWI certification

• NDT Level II certifications

• Experience with API 570/510 inspection

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering
