If youre passionate about building solutions that matterand want to be part of a company that values your growth and impactthis is your opportunity to energize your career.## **How Youll Make an Impact*** ### Lead development of software applications for grid control and optimization.* ### Act as a software developer to support other application engineers in our system deliveries to customers in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania.* ### Design and develop software solutions for GMS/EMS applications, contributing to the enhancement of system functionality, performance, and integration capabilities.* ### Collaborate with our customers' experts to configure our applications to meet the customer requirements.* ### Work closely with customers to develop efficient and robust workflow integrations between SCADA/EMS/GMS systems and other IT/OT systems, leveraging state-of-the-art interface and integration technologies.* ### Create and execute test plans and procedures with customers to ensure the system meets contractual requirements.* ### Provide training to customers on operating EMS/GMS functions within the system.* ### Coordinate and efficiently resolve technical problems reported by customers in collaboration with our technical team.* ### Provide expert support to the proposals and tendering team, enabling Hitachi Energy to submit high quality bids.* ### Embrace Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions and fostering a culture of care for colleagues and the business. ##### ## **Your Background*** ### More than 5 years of professional experience in software development.* ### Masters (or higher) degree in energy systems, electrical engineering, or computer science.* ### Basic understanding of electric power generation and transmission networks.* ### Experience with GMS/EMS/SCADA systems.* ### Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and FORTRAN.* ### Willingness to travel and work at our customer locations.* ### Strong analytical and communication skills, with an eagerness to thrive in a dynamic and multicultural environment.* ### Fluent in English, both written and spoken, to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.* ### Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.## We pride ourselves on offering a holistic range of competitive benefits to support your financial, physical and mental wellbeing and personal development.
