About the Position

We are looking for a Director of Business Development to drive growth in our HR/Finance Practice. This role mainly focuses on gaining new clients, strengthening existing relationships, and building strategic partnerships across life sciences corporate functions.

The ideal candidate brings a strong commercial mindset, a proven track record selling staffing or consulting solutions, and an active network within biotech, pharma, or medical device organizations. While understanding of recruiting and talent delivery is valuable, the primary emphasis of this role is driving revenue, building long-term client partnerships, and scaling a high-performing HR/Finance vertical.

This is a strategic, outward-facing role with the opportunity to drive practice growth, collaborate across service lines, and impact broader firm initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Generation

  • Drive full-cycle sales activities, including prospecting, outreach, discovery, solution design, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
  • Build and expand client relationships across biotech, pharma, and medical device companies, developing a robust and sustainable book of business.
  • Establish and execute a sales strategy that meets or exceeds revenue and margin targets for the HR/Finance practice.
  • Develop multi-stakeholder partnerships that position BioBridges as a trusted, long-term partner in corporate functions.
  • Partner with leaders across Regulatory, Clinical, Quality, and Corporate practices to deliver integrated solutions and maximize cross-selling opportunities.
Practice Growth & Vertical Ownership
  • Lead growth strategy for the HR/Finance vertical, including market positioning, service offerings, and P&L accountability.
  • Identify emerging opportunities and industry trends to expand the practice's reach and capabilities.
Client Engagement & Strategic Advisory
  • Serve as a consultative partner to senior client stakeholders on workforce planning, organizational needs, and project-based support models.
  • Provide insights on corporate functional roles like FP&A, accounting, HR business partners, talent acquisition, payroll, and related areas.
Recruiting Partnership
  • Collaborate closely with internal recruiting and delivery teams to ensure successful fulfillment of client needs.
  • Offer guidance on role priorities, candidate profiles, and market expectations to ensure delivery excellence.

Requirements
  • 10-15+ years of experience driving sales and client growth within staffing, consulting, or business development roles in the life sciences sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate, grow, and manage a profitable book of business.
  • Established network across corporate functions within biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device companies.
  • Strong commercial acumen with exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience collaborating with recruiting/delivery teams; understanding of HR and Finance leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in CRM/ATS platforms such as Bullhorn.
