The Member Experience Receptionist serves as a welcoming ambassador and the central point of contact for Members and guests at The Woodlands Country Club. This role is essential to delivering elevated hospitality through personalized service, professional communication, and seamless operational support. The ideal candidate is warm, polished, and detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

Member Experience team members are passionate about anticipating needs, building meaningful connections, and delivering memorable experiences that reflect the Club's prestige and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Member & Guest Experience
  • Greet Members and guests with professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality
  • Serve as the first point of contact, aiding information, and offering concierge-style service
  • Anticipate Member needs and respond promptly to requests, questions, and concerns
  • Uphold the Club's service standards and contribute to a welcoming, refined atmosphere

Front Desk & Administrative Operations

  • Respond to, screen, and direct incoming phone calls and messages with clarity and courtesy.
  • Manage reservations, appointments, and general inquiries accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception and workspace.
  • Support departmental operations through administrative tasks and special assignments as required.
  • Accommodate other duties and tasks when needed.

Communication & Coordination

  • Act as a liaison between Members, management, and internal departments.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Assist members with the internal club's mobile device app.
  • Aiding in facilitating Member Experience social calendar amongst members and keeping them informed with daily club within a club activities and events.
  • Assist in coordinating Member activities, events, and daily Club operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • 18 years or older.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Computer proficiency and comfort using reservation systems, email, and office software.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor reflective of a private club setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in hospitality, concierge, reception, or member services
  • Higher education is preferred.
  • Experience working in a private club, hotel, resort, or luxury service environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for service excellence

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout the Club during shifts
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed
  • Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and a positive workplace culture
