Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector III to join our team. The Quality Control Inspector III at Frazer reports to the Quality Control Supervisor, and is responsible for independently performing advanced quality inspections, analyzing root causes, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous process improvements to ensure the highest level of product quality.

What Does a Week in the Life of the Quality Control Inspector III Look Like?

  1. Learn and apply existing processes to independently perform accurate quality inspections while promoting ideas to improve those processes.
  2. Accurately interpret prints and use tape measures with precision to ensure high standards of quality and detail.
  3. Recommend and/or implement policy and process changes to improve productivity and efficiency based on observed issues.
  4. Analyze root causes of issues, propose corrective actions, and implement process improvements to prevent recurrence.
  5. Apply a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control methodologies, and advanced inspection equipment.
  6. Review and interpret complex quality data to identify trends and patterns.
  7. Lead quality improvement projects and collaborate with production teams to implement changes.
  8. Perform advanced testing procedures, including functional testing, on products.
  9. Mentor and train new QC Inspectors.
  10. Communicate openly with production teams and work centers to address departmental needs via phone, email, and in person.
  11. Perform inspections related to metal fabrication processes such as welding, bending, punching, and grinding.
  12. Inspect and troubleshoot 120 VAC and 12 VDC electrical systems using a multimeter.
  13. Assist the team as needed to help meet overall team goals.
  14. Work independently with software applications and ERP systems to document and track quality activities.
  15. Operate non-emergency EMS vehicles on- and off-site for road testing, movement between locations, and equipment verification.
  16. Clock in and out of the correct job daily.
  17. Independently complete tasks within established time goals and ensure all work is properly signed off.
  18. Attend all mandatory meetings and approve your timesheet every Monday morning.
  19. Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid state driver's license with a good driving record
  • 2-5 years of quality control experience
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree

Oh, and $alary

Of course, we didn't forget salary... Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $25.00- $32.00 per hour depending on education, certifications, and experience.

Work Schedule

The Quality Control Inspector III will work Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Late afternoon/evening/weekend hours may be required as needed. Work schedules may change to accommodate production needs.
