Under the administrative direction of the Information Security Officer over Information Security Office (ISO), the IT Specialist III is responsible for design, implementation, and continuously refining a secure enterprise architecture that ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availabilityof all clinical and administrative information systems. the IT Specialist III ensures that all digital health platforms-including EHRs, health information exchanges (HIEs), patient portals, and medical device integrations-are secure by design and fully compliant with federal healthcare regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as state-level mandates including the Statewide Information Management Manual (SIMM) and the State Administrative Manual (SAM) Section 5300.

Working Conditions
- This position reports to the Allenby Building in Sacramento. A hybrid Telework schedule, consistent with the State of California's in-office requirement, may be considered with prior approval from management. The incumbent may also be required to travel throughout California as needed, with prior notice.
