Software Engineer II (Selenium Test Automation Engineer)

Pay Rate: $55.00 - $59.00 per hr.

We are looking for a motivated Selenium Test Automation Engineer to support automated testing for several internal, associate-facing branch applications. This individual will work closely with the business team to review test cases, build automation scripts, and support API-focused testing efforts. You will join a team that includes several existing contractors and serve as an informal technical resource-someone the team can go to with questions-without being a formal lead.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute Selenium automated test scripts for internal desktop and web-based applications.
• Review business-provided test cases and translate them into stable, scalable automated tests.
• Support API testing initiatives as the team expands automation coverage.
• Perform basic SQL querying to retrieve, validate, and stage test data in the automation database.
• Collaborate with a team of 4-5 automation engineers working on the same platform.
• Test exclusively in lower/test automation environments (no production access).
• Work with cross-functional partners to ensure automation aligns with business requirements and testing standards.

• Must have a Bachelors (computer science, engineering or related field)
• 2+ years of hands-on Selenium automation experience.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks in a professional environment.
• SQL skills (basic level): querying data, pulling records, inserting data, general data validation.

• Strong understanding of software testing best practices and QA methodologies.
• C# / .NET combined with Selenium (highly preferred).
• Java experience is acceptable if C#/.NET is limited.
• Experience with API test automation.
• Exposure to Tricentis Tosca (big plus, not required).
