We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP PM Work Management Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module, with a specialized focus on the end-to-end work management process within a utility provider environment. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling, execution, and completion of all maintenance activities to maximize asset uptime, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

The Senior Specialist will be a subject matter expert, responsible for optimizing current business processes, providing advanced user support, and leading system enhancements related to work order management, notifications, and preventative maintenance strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of utility operations, including electric, gas, or water distribution and transmission systems, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective SAP PM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work Management Process Leadership:
• • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for the SAP PM work management lifecycle, from maintenance notification creation to work order closure.
  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of new business processes and functionalities within SAP PM to align with operational goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.
• System & Data Management:
• • Manage and optimize master data related to functional locations, equipment, task lists, and maintenance plans.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of work order data, including costs, labor hours, and materials consumption.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, business processes, and user training materials.
• User Support & Training:
• • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex issues related to SAP PM work orders, notifications, and maintenance plans.
  • Mentor and train junior team members and end-users on best practices for using the SAP PM module.
  • Develop and deliver advanced training sessions to improve user proficiency and adoption of new functionalities.
• Reporting & Analytics:
• • Develop and generate complex reports and dashboards using tools like SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, or Power BI to provide insights into maintenance performance metrics (e.g., backlog, wrench time, planned vs. unplanned work).
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process optimization.
• Collaboration & Project Management:
• • Collaborate closely with various departments, including Operations, Reliability Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of maintenance activities.
  • Participate in or lead cross-functional projects related to system upgrades, new technology implementations, and process re-engineering.
• Required Qualifications & Skills
• Experience:
• • Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on, progressive experience in the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module.
  • Proven experience as a Senior SAP PM resource in a utility or asset-intensive industry (e.g., electric, gas, water distribution).
  • Extensive experience with the full SAP PM lifecycle, including notifications (IW21), work orders (IW31), maintenance plans (IP11), and task lists (IA05).
• Technical Skills:
• • Deep functional knowledge of SAP PM configuration and integration points with other modules such as Materials Management (MM) and Finance (FI/CO).
  • Strong understanding of work management processes, including planning, scheduling, capacity leveling, and resource management.
  • Proficiency in creating and modifying master data (equipment, functional locations, BOMs, task lists).
  • Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 is a plus.

• Education
  
  o Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  
  o SAP PM certification is a significant advantage.
